The 'Test'

Man, like can be a real pain sometimes. Just when you think you got a good thing going, your set up nicely, that is suddenly when you get thrown that craze pitch. This has been one of those weeks. I have a village, heck i even got a house, but I'm still being help back cause of red tape. The worst thing about all that B.S. it doesn't really matter, lol. Who would have figured that.......
One of my best friends from high school, this guy was like a brother to me, was hurt bad this past Monday. Being over here just tears me apart, I'm use to being a man that can be counted on to get things done and use to doing stuff in these type of problems. But, being half way around the wold limits ones ability to provide help for the people we care about........ But, that is just it, i talk a big game about humility and the purpose of having faith, but what good is talk if you don't get called on it sometimes ;). This whole thing with my friend has been a big trial....... and the verdict means that there is no good out come, cause in the end I'm still here and he is still there going through things i cant even imagine....... So, why deal with it? Well, to build your self stronger and become a better person for those that we might serve tomorrow. Well this is what i have come to believe. That is what I'm seeing life to be about, service and who doesn't like a challenge when they serve, lol. This week as I'm going through the emotions of mourning my friend, not over a death, but of an inability to help. I come to understand the importance of humility to know its not always what we want or what we need when we receive in this life. it is what we do about it, what we do about the test we all will face in this life. So, what then what are we tested over, well to simply put it into one word, Faith. Faith lets us know that we are not facing this test alone, but with our family, friends, and most important God. Just remember my friends, faith is a strong thing only when we have used it to get through a test. if we don't test our faith, is it really a faith that allows use to see or is it something that is just keeping us blind in ignorance?????
